Pipeline Surveyor

VHB is seeking experienced Land Surveyors to work on transmission and pipeline projects in the Greater Boston area.
The ideal candidates must have a proven track record in these type of surveying projects, with a minimum of 4 yrs experience performing and overseeing field and office tasks related to the construction of transmission and pipelines projects. The daily tasks would include but not be limited to performing and providing oversight to technical tasks such as: boundary research & field surveys;, appraisal mapping; inventory of construction materials; green sheets; weld mapping; anomaly log understanding; and topographic and as-built surveys of the constructed pipelines. In addition to the technical requirements, applicant also must have an excellent understanding of the clerical and administrative requirements of DOT documentation.
Must have the abilities to work in the field and perform office survey work daily. AutoCAD experience is a plus. Candidates must be Operator Qualified (OQ) for state DOT work. This job generally requires candidates to work 6 days a week and a minimum of 10 hour work days. This work is primarily located within 30-60 miles of Boston. Per diem is not included. Subject to DOT required drug and alcohol testing program, including random drug screening.
